Catalogue a watch from a single photo

WristLog.app's AI photo fill fills in your watch's details automatically, so adding a watch starts with a photo instead of a form. Take a picture of the dial and the app fills in the brand, the model and other details for you, often in seconds. You check what it filled in, change anything you like, and save. It turns cataloguing a whole collection from an evening's typing into a few minutes.

Why it matters

The biggest reason collectors never get round to cataloguing their watches is the typing: brands, model names, references, sizes, movements. AI photo fill does the tedious part for you, so you can spend your time on the details only you know, like where you bought it and what it means to you.

Where it saves you time

  • Adding a new watch. Start with a photo instead of a form.
  • Finishing a watch you added in a hurry. Add a photo and the gaps fill themselves in.
  • Saving a watch you spotted. On your wishlist, a photo is enough for the brand and model.

You stay in control

  • Nothing is saved until you say so. Every suggestion is shown to you first, and you can undo it in a tap.
  • It's opt-in. WristLog.app asks before it sends a photo for the first time, and you can switch photo fill off at any time in your profile.
  • Your judgement wins. AI is very good at the common details and sometimes unsure about rare or vintage pieces. You always have the final word.

Free and Premium

Free members can use AI photo fill on a few watches every month, plenty for adding new pieces as they arrive. Premium members can use it on as many watches as they like, which makes cataloguing an entire collection in one sitting easy.

Common questions

How accurate is AI watch identification?

It's reliable for the brand and model of most current and recent watches, and less certain with rare, vintage or heavily customised pieces. That's why every suggestion is shown for review before anything is saved.

What happens to my photo?

Your photo is used to identify the watch. AI photo fill only runs after you agree to it, and you can switch it off at any time. See the privacy policy for the details.

Do I need a perfect photo?

No. A clear, reasonably straight-on photo of the dial in decent light works best. If the first try is unsure, a closer or brighter photo usually helps.

Does it work for watches on my wishlist?

Yes. On the wishlist, a photo is enough to fill in the brand and model of a watch you're considering.
